4Play - Online Poker, an engaging and suspenseful card game
Poker is a globally popular card game with simple yet deeply strategic rules. Players use a standard 52-card deck to create the highest-value hand and win the pot.
Setup:
Standard 52-card deck
Minimum of 2 players, maximum of 10 players
Betting chips
Rules:
Each player receives two private cards dealt face down.
The first player places an initial bet.
Other players can call, raise, or fold.
The player with the highest-ranking hand wins the pot.
Highest-ranking hands:
Royal Flush: 10, J, Q, K, A all of the same suit
Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank
Full House: Three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank
Flush: Any five cards of the same suit
Straight: Any five consecutive cards of mixed suits
Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same rank
Two Pair: Two cards of one rank and two cards of another rank
One Pair: Two cards of the same rank
High Card: The hand with the highest card when no other combination is made
Note:
In this variant, cards from 2 to 6 are removed (only cards 7 through Ace are used).
If multiple players have the same highest hand, the player with the highest single card wins.
How to Play Poker
Step 1: Deal the Cards
The dealer gives two face-down cards (hole cards) to each player.
Step 2: Place the First Bet
The first player places a bet. Others may call, raise, or fold.
Step 3: The Flop
The dealer reveals three community cards face-up on the table.
Step 4: Second Betting Round
Players can bet to increase the pot size.
Step 5: The Turn
The dealer reveals a fourth community card.
Step 6: Third Betting Round
Players can place additional bets.
Step 7: The River
The dealer reveals the fifth and final community card.
Step 8: Showdown
Players reveal their cards, and the one with the highest-ranking hand wins.

Raising is a key poker strategy. It increases the pot, pressures opponents to fold, and signals confidence in your hand.

Calling is a safer move, suitable when you have a decent hand or want to see more community cards before committing further.
