CHESS TACTICS TRAINING

Premium members enjoy the added benefit of custom sets tailored to their specific weaknesses, including sets focused on particular tactical motifs such as pins, forks, and discovered attacks. Additionally, you can target previous mistakes and leverage a spaced repetition learning algorithm to prioritize problems you struggle with. Note that while custom sets can be utilized within the app, they must first be created on the Chesstempo.com website.

Every rated game you play is followed by a comprehensive post-game analysis powered by our cluster of hundreds of Stockfish instances, delivering high-quality insights in mere seconds. Premium members have the unique advantage of extracting tactics problems from their rated games, which can then be solved within the tactics training interface, further customized via advanced sets.

OPENING TRAINING

Develop and refine your opening strategies with Chess Tempo's opening training feature. You can create multiple repertoires for both black and white, import them from PGN files or input moves directly on the board. Utilize spaced repetition to master your repertoires, focusing on specific branches, individual repertoires, or all repertoires of a particular color. You can also limit training to a certain depth and target moves that resist learning through spaced repetition. Enhance your understanding by adding comments, engine evaluations, and annotations to each move, and easily export your repertoires and notes to PGN. Track your progress with graphs showing learning status and history over time. Free members can use the opening explorer up to a depth of 10 moves, while premium members gain access to cloud engine analysis for any position.

ENDGAME TRAINING

Sharpen your endgame skills with over 14,000 positions extracted from real games, ranging from 3 to 7 pieces. Free members can practice two positions daily, but premium members unlock additional positions and custom sets targeting specific endgame types or positions they frequently miss.
