Aptoide, la App Store independiente, ahora está disponible gratuitamente en iOS para usuarios de la UE. Si bien afirma ser la primera tienda de aplicaciones alternativas gratuitas en iOS, la tienda de juegos Epic se lanzó técnicamente primero. Sin embargo, Aptoide podría ser la primera tienda general de terceros.

El control estricto de Apple sobre su ecosistema iOS tiene alternativas de App Store Long Limited. Pero después de las batallas legales y el lanzamiento de iOS de la tienda de juegos épicos, Aptoide ha ingresado al mercado.
