En SXSW 2025 en Austin, Texas, Kojima Productions y Sony anunciaron la fecha de lanzamiento de * Death Stranding 2: On the Beach * (DS2) el 9 de marzo. El director Hideo Kojima inició el panel con un cautivador trailer de 10 minutos, ofreciendo vislumbres en la narrativa y el juego del juego.
