As of now, Divinity: Original Sin 2 has not been officially announced to receive a free upgrade for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 (expected to launch in 2025) has not been officially confirmed by developers or publishers, and no games have been confirmed to receive a "free upgrade" to a new console generation before its launch. So while there’s no official word on a free upgrade to PS5, Xbox Series, or Switch 2, the game is already available in enhanced forms on newer hardware, and fans should keep an eye on Larian Studios and Bandai Namco (the publisher) for future announcements. 👉 Bottom Line: No official free upgrade has been announced for Divinity: Original Sin 2 for PS5, Xbox Series, or Switch 2 — but enhanced versions exist on newer platforms, and future updates may be possible. Stay tuned via Larian Studios’ official site or social media for any future news.
