Un artiste conceptuel de Naughty Dog a partagé l'illustration de la protagoniste de Stellar Blade, Eva, sur X, déclenchant une réaction importante de la part des fans. Beaucoup ont critiqué le design comme étant peu attrayant et masculin, avec des commentaires le décrivant comme « laid » et « terrible ».
