WHAT IS STENCILETTO?

Stenciletto offers a series of progressive cognitive exercises using simple geometric forms. It is designed to cultivate and enhance visual and spatial reasoning skills. Accessible to all, the only prerequisites are the ability to recognize basic geometric shapes and understand the concept of a stencil.

Solving these puzzles demands the simultaneous application of diverse critical thinking skills—visual and spatial perception, logical reasoning, strategic planning, and problem-solving. While seemingly simple, the game provides a substantial cognitive challenge. Your objective is to tap geometric stencils in the correct sequence to replicate the target pattern, a task that proves far more difficult than it appears and is guaranteed to engage your mind.

Developed over a decade by an experienced educator with input from children, teenagers, adults, and individuals with learning disabilities or brain injuries, the game has proven rewarding and motivating for all participants.

The latest version introduces Education Mode, adapting the game for classroom use. A single purchase unlocks all relevant content, with controls for managing content access, internet, Game Center, and sharing. Eligible for Family Sharing, Education Mode is also a perfect fit for homeschoolers.

HISTORY OF THE GAME

Originally known as the Stencil Design IQ Test, the game was created by Dr. Grace Arthur, an early 20th-century psychologist who recognized non-verbal skills as a core component of intelligence. She deemed it suitable for children as young as seven as well as academic peers. Tasked with assessing the IQ of Native American and deaf children who struggled with traditional verbal tests, Dr. Arthur used this activity to demonstrate their IQ was on par with that of educated Americans.

WHAT'S IN THE GAME?

Stenciletto features two distinct game types. Classic Games utilize Grace Arthur’s original geometric stencils (squares, circles, triangles, crosses, etc.), familiar to most players. Our new World Games act as advanced extension exercises for those with strong perception and logic seeking a greater challenge.

With over 600 graded puzzles, Stenciletto offers a free sample set at each level (60 free puzzles in total).

Each paid game contains 15 puzzles. Completing a Classic Game rewards players with an animated Smiley, each inspired by renowned figures from history and mythology to ensure diverse cultural representation. These Smileys also serve as a fun and rewarding way to track progress and achievements.

Different modes of play are available:-

• Mortal Mode is the default mode where you either purchase lives or wait for new lives to regenerate. Timed and scored with Mortal leaderboards.

• Immortal Mode gives you free lives forever, simply top up your life bank when required. Timed and scored with Immortal leaderboards.

• Mindful Mode isn’t timed and has no scoring, so you can relax and take as much time as you like to complete the puzzles.

• Education Mode opens both Immortal Mode and Mindful Mode, so you can choose either mode of play (Mortal Mode can be disabled).
