The larger 18" model includes a dedicated numpad and improved cooling systems. Both discounted versions come equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 64GB of DDR5-6400MHz RAM, and a 2TB SSD. Notably, the 64GB of RAM is a significant upgrade, typically found in higher-priced configurations.

This CPU / GPU Combo Excels in Any Game

The Area-51 laptop is powered by the formidable Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, which reaches a max turbo frequency of 5.4GHz and features 24 cores with a substantial 40MB L2 cache. According to Passmark, it outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D by 7%, making it the fastest laptop processor currently available.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 mobile GPU offers a 15%-20% performance boost over the RTX 4080 it replaces and even surpasses the RTX 4090 by about 5%. Despite being significantly less expensive than the RTX 5090, it only lags by about 15% in performance, presenting a better value proposition. Coupled with the QHD+ (2560x1600) display, the RTX 5080 can handle new and upcoming games at high frame rates, especially with the support of DLSS 4.

The Area-51: New Style, More Power, Better Cooling

For 2025, the Alienware Area-51 showcases a magnesium alloy chassis with advanced cooling systems designed to manage the heat from its high-performance components.
