8 Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass in May 2025

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 12,2026

Microsoft has announced which titles will be removed from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. A total of eight games are scheduled to depart, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.

Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft's cloud gaming service that lets subscribers play across Xbox and PC platforms. Members can stream directly to smart devices and consoles, access new releases on launch day (depending on subscription tier), and enjoy a vast library of premium games with friends across console, PC or cloud platforms. The following eight titles are being removed from this service.

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May:

  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Chants of Sennaar
  • Dune: Spice Wars
  • Hauntii
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • Planet of Lana
  • The Big Con

Microsoft is anticipated to reveal Wave 2 of its May 2025 Game Pass offerings shortly after these games exit the service.

Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members gained access to a significant new feature: the ability to stream select games directly to their consoles without downloading them.

This expansion was announced via Xbox Wire, confirming that Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now stream titles from the Game Pass library, along with "eligible owned games," to their Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles. While cloud streaming was previously available on smart TVs, PCs, mobile devices and Meta Quest headsets, this marks its debut on Xbox consoles.

For gamers disappointed by today's news that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed until May 2026, it's worth noting that GTA 5 Enhanced Edition remains available through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. This marks the first time the enhanced version has been included in PC Game Pass.
