Paramount Pictures has adjusted its film schedule, postponing The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2, pushing both Nickelodeon films back several months from their original dates.

Per Variety, the eagerly awaited Avatar movie centered on Aang will now debut on October 9, 2026, instead of January 30, 2026. On a positive note, Paramount revealed a fresh logo for the film, which you can view below.

This shift delays The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender by nearly nine months from its anticipated premiere. This marks the second postponement for the sequel to Nickelodeon’s cherished fantasy series, originally slated for October 10, 2025.

No specific reason for the delay was provided, but the confirmed voice cast, including Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam, remains committed to the project.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will explore the original Avatar protagonist in a story set years after the series concluded. It earned its official title at last month’s CinemaCon and is the first of three planned films in this universe.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sequel, announced shortly before the 2023 premiere of the first film, also faces a delay.

Fans anticipating the next chapter for Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo now face a longer wait, as the sequel’s release moves from October 9, 2026, to September 17, 2027.

This adds nearly a year to the wait for resolution to the intriguing mid-credits scene from the first film. Plot and cast details remain undisclosed, but the Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series offers fans some content in the interim.
