Assassin

*Assassin’s Creed Shadows* can be a challenging game, but the good news is that you can adjust the settings to suit your comfort level. Here's everything you need to know about the difficulty levels in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Difficulty Levels Explained

There are four difficulty settings in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* that you can choose from:

  • Story: This mode is perfect for those who want to enjoy the narrative without the stress of combat. Enemies are slow to react and won't attack simultaneously, making it easy to overpower them.
  • Forgiving: A slight step up from Story, where enemies still won't gang up on you, and Naoe is more effective in open combat.
  • Normal: The default setting, requiring careful combat strategies. Naoe needs to stay stealthy, while Yasuke should engage enemies of similar strength.
  • Expert: Enemies are much more aggressive and hit harder. Stealth and strategic planning are crucial, along with keeping your gear upgraded.

Difficulty Tuning

The four difficulty settings can be further refined through the Gameplay tab in the settings menu under Difficulty Tuning. Here, you can adjust the levels of difficulty for both combat and stealth separately. For example, if you enjoy the challenge of combat but find stealth less appealing, you can reduce the stealth difficulty.

Additionally, you can enable Guaranteed Assassination, which allows Naoe to assassinate all enemies with a single hit, bypassing the need to upgrade her Assassin Mastery tree for effective assassinations.

How to Change Difficulty

You can adjust the difficulty at any time. Simply open the menu, navigate to settings, and select the Gameplay tab. Make your adjustments and return to the game to experience the changes.
