Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a sprawling RPG that offers a wealth of activities beyond its main quest. Even after you've completed the central storyline, there's still plenty to explore and enjoy. Here's a detailed look at what you can expect after beating Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the game's expansive open world remains fully accessible. You can continue to explore the rich landscapes of Feudal Japan, engaging in a variety of side content that remains unlocked. Whether it's completing additional missions, discovering hidden secrets, or simply enjoying the scenery, there's no shortage of activities to keep you engaged.
Moreover, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will continue to evolve with new weekly challenges added through the Animus post-launch. This means even after achieving 100% completion, there will always be fresh content to tackle.
Rolling credits doesn't necessarily mean the end of the story in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In my playthrough, the credits rolled after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, to unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Once these are done, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.
Additionally, as you approach the endgame, you'll unlock exclusive gear sets themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These sets not only enhance each protagonist's unique playstyle with special perks but also feature designs that resonate deeply with long-time fans of the Assassin’s Creed series.
Even after the credits, you can continue to level up your characters to the game's maximum level cap, ensuring there's always something to strive for.

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the game's journey is far from over. Ubisoft plans to introduce new content through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with new items. Furthermore, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025. This DLC will transport players to the Island of Awaji, offering over 10 hours of additional content to explore.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
