Assetto Corsa EVO Launches Today, Rivaling Gran Turismo and Forza

For enthusiasts of automobile simulators, January 16, 2025, marks a historic day with the early access launch of Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam, brought to you by Kunos Simulazioni Studios. At launch, players will dive into the experience with 20 meticulously detailed cars and 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite its early access status, the game promises an already impressive level of physics, control, and realistic car behavior that sets a high bar for simulation.

A standout feature of Assetto Corsa EVO is its free-ride mode, allowing players to explore at their own pace. A major update slated for the summer of 2025 will introduce roads around the renowned Nürburgring track. This update will feature a fully laser-scanned open world, spanning up to 1600 square kilometers, with plans for gradual expansion.

Assetto Corsa EVO positions itself as the premier car simulator, ready to challenge industry giants like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. It boasts photorealistic graphics and advanced physics, aiming to deliver an unparalleled driving experience. At its debut, the game will feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with more content promised through future free upgrades. Each circuit will accurately replicate real-world conditions, such as rolling tires or wet pavement, and include animated spectators to enhance the realism.

The developers have also refined the dynamics of the automobiles, including suspension damping and shock absorption, ensuring a more authentic driving feel. The Driving Academy mode, one of the key single-player features during Early Access, will challenge players to complete specific tracks within a set time. Successfully completing this mode will grant players a license, unlocking access to the game's elite vehicles.
