Atomfall Shows Off Gameplay Ahead of March Release

Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, plunges players into a chilling alternate 1960s England, devastated by nuclear catastrophe. A recent seven-minute gameplay trailer offers a deeper look into the game's mechanics and setting, promising a compelling experience for fans of titles like Fallout and STALKER.

The trailer showcases exploration of diverse environments, ranging from quarantined zones and small villages to ominous research bunkers. Survival hinges on resource scavenging, a core element of the gameplay loop. Players will face off against robotic threats and fanatical cultists, navigating perilous landscapes and hazardous environments.

Combat in Atomfall blends melee and ranged encounters. While the trailer initially reveals a seemingly limited arsenal (a cricket bat, revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle), it emphasizes weapon upgrade systems and hints at a wider array of weaponry to discover. Crafting plays a crucial role, allowing players to create healing items and tactical tools such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in the search for valuable supplies and crafting materials.

Character progression is facilitated by training manuals and unlockable skills categorized into melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning. This skill tree offers strategic depth and customization options.

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, so stay tuned to their social media channels for further updates.
