Bethesda to Announce Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 27,2025

After months of speculation and leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the verge of officially announcing the much-anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The official Bethesda Twitter/X account has set the stage for a major reveal tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch. Although the announcement's specifics remain under wraps, the prominent "IV" and the background art, which closely resembles a well-known piece from Oblivion, strongly suggest what fans can expect.

Rumors about an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The buzz began to intensify following a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which hinted at an Oblivion remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Despite the leak's age and the passed release window, the project seemed to have been shelved—until a new leak in January this year suggested that Bethesda, along with support studio Virtuos, was actively developing a full-blown remake. The rumors gained even more traction last week when leaks from Virtuos' website surfaced, showcasing images of the remake in development.

If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Fans can look forward to not only the standard version but also a Deluxe Edition that includes the iconic horse armor.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what is expected to be the official confirmation of this exciting project, along with further details that will undoubtedly delight fans of the Elder Scrolls series.
