The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio established by ex-CD Projekt RED developers, recently unveiled their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, in a comprehensive livestream. The stream featured a captivating four-minute cinematic trailer, serving as the game's opening narrative sequence.

Set in a 14th-century alternate Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man who acquires supernatural abilities after the events depicted in the trailer. His mission: rescue his loved ones from a vampire threat within a strict 30-day timeframe. While time progresses selectively during gameplay, strategic time management is crucial.

Coen faces a compelling moral conflict: embrace his humanity or succumb to his vampiric nature. This choice significantly impacts both gameplay mechanics and the narrative arc. A key mechanic revolves around "Blood Hunger." Prolonged abstinence from blood risks a loss of control, potentially leading to accidental fatalities and unforeseen consequences.

Players will navigate richly detailed environments, with dynamic elements influenced by the time of day. The developers describe the game world as a "narrative sandbox," offering extensive player agency.

Currently two years in development using Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A release date has yet to be announced.
