Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for release in Fortnite on January 17th, has had its details prematurely revealed through online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the game files for this collaboration with the Monsterverse. Dataminers have uncovered the specifics: the battle pass will feature a standard Godzilla skin, while the in-game store will offer a bundle including Mechagodzilla and Kong skins. This bundle also boasts unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement each character.

A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One lucky player will transform into a gigantic Godzilla, wielding atomic breath and other powerful abilities. Players must collaborate to defeat this colossal foe, with the player inflicting the most damage earning a medallion granting a special ability.

The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time and includes:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks

Beyond Godzilla, Fortnite's roster of guest appearances continues to expand. Hints suggest the arrival of the popular Vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation. Beyond the base Hatsune Miku skin, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and potentially a virtual concert are anticipated.
