How to Start The Lion’s Crest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Once you've completed the tutorial and gained access to the open world, head over to Troskowitz and speak with the scribe Gaibl. He'll set you on the path for The Lion’s Crest by providing a riddle and the smithing recipe for Brunswick’s polearm. You'll need to gather the materials on your own, but the blacksmith’s forge is where you'll craft this weapon.

The Lion’s Crest Riddle Solution

The riddle you'll need to solve goes like this:

“Take your leave of crone and maiden, standing tall behind the gates, boldly go towards true midnight, in caverns cold your prize awaits. Pass through the hall of forest kings, hidden deep from hunters’ gaze, standing tall two guards of stone, behind who yearned for treasure lays. Between then stands a mighty rock, a subtle niche yet deeper still, a place to give one’s heart to God, behold my armour gleaming still.”

Start at Trosky Castle, where you'll find the Crone Tower and Maiden Tower. Exit through the northern gates and head north into the forest.

Keep following the road and watch the left side for rocky formations with small crevices. Navigate through these to discover a cave with a chapel inside. Examine the cross on the rock next to it to find the first piece of Brunswick’s Armour, along with two treasure maps to guide you further.

Map 1

Continue along the road that led you to the chapel and head west to the crossroads. Then, go north into the woods to find a wolf den. Search the trees just above the den to uncover a bag containing the second piece of Brunswick’s armour.

Map 2

The second map directs you to Vidlak Pond's small outpost. Follow the path behind the fisherman’s house to a large rock formation along the cliffs. Climb up to find a chest next to a cross.

Map 3

For the third map, fast travel to Zhelejov, visit the tavern, and then leave the settlement. Cross the two bridges toward Tachov, but after the second bridge, take a small path towards the river and forest. Follow it to a hill where a large tree awaits. Examine the tree to find bones and a bag with the armour.

Map 4

The final map leads to a hill between the Nomads’ Camp and Bozhena’s Hut. Look for rocks with a cross on top to claim the last piece of Brunswick’s armour.
