Call of Duty: Mobile introduces season 11 with the debut of DMZ: Recon

  • Call of Duty Mobile season 11 arrives, introducing the new DMZ: Recon mode
  • The update coincides with the Street Fighter 6 collaboration, featuring a dedicated battle royale experience
  • Dive into updated first-person perspectives, sixth-anniversary rewards, and a fresh battle pass

Ah, Call of Duty: Mobile. It’s one of those moments where I gladly eat my words. I wrongly assumed CoD: Warzone Mobile would take the crown. Yet, after six years, CoD: Mobile continues to thrive, and with season 11, it unveils a groundbreaking mode that steps into Warzone’s shoes.

DMZ: Recon may already be known to dedicated CoD: Mobile players. But for newcomers, DMZ: Recon operates exactly as you’d expect—a Tarkov-inspired extraction shooter where you gather loot, battle both human players and AI bots, and successfully reach the extraction point.

It’s not an exact replica of Warzone, naturally. But DMZ: Recon will undoubtedly appeal to those who crave the fast-paced, high-stakes action CoD: Mobile delivers right at your fingertips.

Seasonal highlights

Naturally, this isn’t the only addition in season 11 (though it’s the most prominent). The update also includes first-person perspective enhancements, sixth-anniversary rewards, and a new battle pass. Plus, it’s the perfect time for some seasonal festivities as Street Fighter 6 joins Call of Duty: Mobile in an exciting collaboration.

You can jump into a unique mode featuring melee-only matches, allowing you to unlock the signature movesets of Akuma and Ryu. Additionally, explore the new Street Royale mode to discover fan-favorite characters like Chun-Li and Cammy.

Speaking of these updates, have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of CoD: Mobile? Well, we recently sat down with Jeffrey Gullett, senior director of production, for an exclusive Call of Duty: Mobile-focused interview.
