Embarking on your journey through the Ligneus Region with Yumia and your companions in *Atelier Yumia* introduces you to the camping mechanic, a crucial feature that enhances your gameplay experience. However, knowing where and when to set up camp can be a bit tricky. Let's break down everything you need to know about camping in *Atelier Yumia*.
The ability to craft Camping Sets becomes available through Simple Synthesis after you clear the manabound Dux Lighthouse, which is the first manabound area you'll tackle in the story. Once you've established a base on the newly revealed land, return to the Ligneus Survey Base and have a conversation with Erhard. This interaction will unlock the camping feature for you.
To craft a Camping Set, you'll need the following materials:
These resources are easily obtainable around the Ligneus Survey Base. You can gather Water from wells scattered across the region or by harvesting plants along river shores, which also yield Fiber. Charcoal is produced when you mine ore.
Once you've collected these materials, access the Simple Synthesis menu and ensure you have a 4×4 space available to craft your Camping Set. If you lack the space, the set will be stored in your stash at the Atelier or one of your bases.
With your Camping Set ready, you can set up camp in any open area of land. Avoid narrow cliffs or dense forests; instead, seek out spacious areas. There are numerous designated campsites, such as the River Campsite near the Ligneus Survey Base, where you can establish a small base and camp.
If you have a Camping Set in your Exploration Bag, you can check the radial menu to see if the Camping option in the bottom right corner is highlighted. If it's greyed out, you cannot camp at that location.
Camping is essential as it's the only time you can cook the food you've gathered while exploring. It's a strategic move to set up camp before facing a boss or entering a manabound area, especially on higher difficulty levels.
Additionally, camping allows you to engage in unique dialogues with your companions. While these conversations don't affect the story, they offer a chance to deepen your understanding and bond with your team.
That's everything you need to know about camping in *Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land*. Get out there, set up camp, and enjoy the enriching experiences that await you in the Ligneus Region!
*Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land* is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
