Sims 4 Guide: Spotting and Catching Robin Banks

The Sims 4 Burglar Sneak Peek

After years of content updates, *The Sims 4* occasionally brings back fan-favorite features. The notorious Burglar, now renamed Robin Banks, has finally made her return - here's everything you need to know about tracking down and stopping this sneaky thief.

Tracking Down Robin Banks in The Sims 4

The beloved (or feared) Burglar from early *Sims* games makes her dramatic comeback in the February 25, 2025 update. Now operating under the alias Robin Banks, she strikes exclusively at night, sneaking into homes to snatch valuable items before Sims can react.

While Robin won't appear frequently, players can increase her appearances by activating the new Heist Havoc Lot Challenge. This feature also causes security alarms to malfunction more often, giving the crafty burglar better chances of escaping with her loot.

Outsmarting the Nighttime Thief

Quick-thinking players have several options to stop Robin Banks in her tracks. The most straightforward method is calling the police - now back in action after years away from the game. For more hands-on approaches, Sims can physically confront the burglar, though athletic Sims have better odds in a scuffle.

The development team shared several creative defenses against burglaries through different expansion packs:

  • A loyal dog will chase Robin away (Requires Cats & Dogs Expansion)
  • Intimidating Werewolves can scare her off (Requires Werewolves Game Pack)
  • Spellcasters have various magical countermeasures (Requires Realm of Magic Game Pack)
  • Servos can activate defensive systems (Requires Discover University Expansion)
  • Scientists can freeze her in place (Requires Get to Work Expansion)
  • Vampires might... well, let's just say she becomes the snack (Requires Vampires Game Pack)

With these tips, you're ready to protect your virtual home from the crafty Robin Banks. For more *Sims 4* content, check out our guide on handling broken objects during the Blast from the Past event.
