The debut RPG from developer Sandfall Interactive initially soared with 500,000 copies sold within the first 24 hours, and it has now doubled that impressive figure.

"And here we are. Three days after launch. One million copies sold. Thank you for believing in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33," the studio said on social media over the weekend.

The game's success doesn't stop there. According to SteamDB, Clair Obscur hit a concurrent peak of 121,422 players on Steam over the weekend. This number significantly surpasses the concurrent peak of any other game from the renowned RPG developer Atlus, including the popular Metaphor: ReFantazio, which launched in October 2024 and reached a peak of 85,961 players.

It's worth noting that concurrent player records do not reflect the total player base.
