"Clue Mobile Now Features 2016 Suspects"

If you're a fan of classic mystery games, you'll be thrilled to hear that Marmalade Game Studio has just released the 2016 Suspects Pack for the digital version of Clue (also known as Cluedo). This update brings back some of the most beloved characters from the 2016 edition, giving players a nostalgic and fresh way to enjoy the timeless murder-mystery gameplay.

Who Are the 2016 Clue aka Cluedo Suspects?

The pack includes six iconic suspects:

  • Miss Scarlet
  • Colonel Mustard
  • Reverend Green
  • Professor Plum
  • Dr. Orchid
  • Mrs. Peacock

These characters are not bound to any specific case or setting, which means you can drop them into any mystery scenario you like. Want to mix things up? You can even combine the 2016 cast with the newer 2023 characters for a truly custom experience.

Fans of the 2016 version have long requested the return of these classic personalities, especially after the introduction of the more modern 2023 roster. It’s clear that Marmalade has been listening, and this pack is a welcome nod to those who cherish the traditional feel of the game.

Retro Rules Set: A Trip Back in Time

In addition to the new character pack, Clue / Cluedo is introducing an exciting Retro Rules Set mode. This free update lets players experience the game as it was originally played back in 1949, with classic mechanics that change the flow of gameplay.

Some key features of the Retro Rules Set include:

  • Each token starts at a designated position on the board.
  • Miss Scarlet always takes the first turn—unless she's not in the game, in which case Colonel Mustard leads off.
  • Accusations can only be made while inside a room.
  • Clue Cards are removed entirely from the game.
  • Players cannot move through squares already occupied by another player.

This mode offers a refreshing twist for longtime fans and adds a new layer of strategy for those used to the modern ruleset.
