Quick Links

Path of Exile 2 loot filters significantly enhance gameplay, particularly in the later stages when item drops increase dramatically. They declutter the screen while highlighting valuable items, streamlining the looting process. While using a controller or playing on console might seem to complicate this, PlayStation and Xbox players can utilize loot filters just as effectively as PC players. However, the setup process requires a few steps.

How to Link Path of Exile 2 and Console Accounts

To use loot filters on consoles, you must first link your console account to your Path of Exile account through the Path of Exile 1 website. Here's how:

  1. Log in to the official Path of Exile website.
  2. Access your account settings by clicking your account name in the upper-left corner.
  3. Select "Manage Account" from the options displayed.
  4. Under "Secondary Login," connect your PlayStation (Sony) or Xbox (Microsoft) account using the provided buttons.

Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the linking process.

Finding and Using Loot Filters

After linking your accounts, return to your profile page on the website. Locate and click the "Item Filters" button. Next, click the "Item Filter Ladder" hyperlink. This will open a new tab displaying available filters.

Select "PoE 2" from the filter type dropdown menu. Choose a filter; NeverSink's semi-strict or regular filters are recommended for new players. Click the "Follow" button on the filter's page.

Finally, in-game, navigate to the Options menu, then the Game tab. At the top, you'll find the "Item Filter" option. Select the filter you followed on the website from the dropdown menu and save your changes. Your loot filter will now be active, altering item appearances (colors, labels) and potentially adding sound cues based on the filter's settings.
