Crunchyroll Releases Kardboard Kings, a Card Shop and Collector Simulator

Crunchyroll's Android app now features Kardboard Kings, a captivating single-player card shop management game. Originally launched on PC in February 2022, this title from Henry's House, Oscar Brittain, and Rob Gross (published by Akupara Games) has made its way to consoles and now mobile devices via Crunchyroll. The Kardboard Kings Experience:

Step into the shoes of Harry Hsu, inheriting his father's card shop – a legacy built on card collecting and mastery of the legendary Warlock card game. Harry's new venture involves navigating the exciting world of buying, selling, and trading cards.

He's not alone! Giuseppe, a quick-witted cockatoo, acts as his business partner, possessing an uncanny ability to spot lucrative deals. Together, they run their seaside card shop, striving to satisfy customers (or, if the mood strikes, cleverly overcharging them!).

The game boasts charming characters brimming with wit and references to other card games and anime. Over 100 unique card designs, each with quirky illustrations and shiny variants, add to the visual appeal.

Gameplay Mechanics:

The core gameplay is simple: buy low, sell high, and profit! However, as you progress, card conditions and set rarities fluctuate, influencing value alongside factors like foil finishes and ability popularity.

Kardboard Kings also incorporates a roguelite deck-building mode on Card Game Island. Here, you'll face challenging duelists, organize tournaments, host booster pack parties, and manage clearance sales to keep your inventory fresh.
