Big Bad Wolf, the acclaimed studio behind titles like *Vampire: The Masquerade Swansong* and *The Council*, has just unveiled their latest project: *Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss*. The announcement was accompanied by a stunning CG trailer that introduces us to the game's protagonist, Noah, who is struggling with the creeping madness induced by the submerged city of R'lyeh and the iconic Great Old One, Cthulhu himself.

Set in the year 2053, the narrative of *Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss* unfolds as corporations mining the ocean's depths unwittingly awaken an ancient cosmic horror. Players take on the role of Noah, an agent from Interpol's secret Occult Affairs division, tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearance of miners in the Pacific Ocean. Assisted by an AI companion named Key, players will delve into the secrets of the sunken city of R'lyeh, tackle intricate puzzles, and fight to preserve their sanity amidst Cthulhu's maddening influence.

Utilizing the power of Unreal Engine 5, the game promises to deliver surreal, reality-bending environments that fully immerse players in its haunting atmosphere. The trailer, which is now available, offers a glimpse into what promises to be a tense and thrilling experience. *Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss* is slated for release in 2026 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
