"Cyberpunk 2077 Lunar DLC: Unreleased Details Revealed"

Cyberpunk 2077 enthusiasts were once thrilled at the prospect of an expansive DLC set in space, particularly on the Moon, but unfortunately, this ambitious project was shelved by CD Projekt RED. Blogger and dataminer SirMZK has delved deep into the game's code, unearthing a wealth of leaks and files that reveal the studio's grand vision for this cosmic expansion.

Within the game's files, there are tantalizing references to lunar surface maps, detailed zones such as the Exterior Movie Set and Drug Lab, and even a rover model. The envisioned Moon location was to be vast, potentially spanning a quarter of Night City's size, and designed as an open world. This would have offered players an entirely new dimension to explore, far removed from the familiar neon-lit streets of Night City.

A highlight of the proposed DLC was the Crystal Palace, an elite space station. Although it didn't make it into the final game, keen-eyed players can spot the Crystal Palace in one of the game's endings, where V gazes out of a spaceship window. Furthermore, the files uncovered a prototype for a zero-gravity bar connected to a scrapped quest named "201," which was part of the Arasaka storyline.

The Cyberpunk community remains hopeful that some of these intriguing ideas might be revived in CD Projekt RED's next venture, Orion, which aims to further expand the Cyberpunk universe. However, the studio has yet to officially confirm whether these concepts will see the light of day.

Though the Moon DLC remains a distant dream for now, the details uncovered by SirMZK illustrate what could have been an extraordinary leap for Cyberpunk 2077. It promised to blend space exploration seamlessly with the game's iconic cyberpunk aesthetic, taking players into uncharted territories.
