Dark Phoenix Saga Launches in Marvel Contest of Champions with Jean Grey, Bastion, and New Eidolon

Kabam is set to enhance *Marvel Contest of Champions* with thrilling updates, ushering in the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also shines a spotlight on the game's powerful female characters, offering players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.

The Dark Phoenix Saga will commence on March 3rd, setting the stage for an epic clash between Jean Grey, the X-Men, and dangerous variants in an all-new quest. Following this, Jean Grey will join The Contest on March 13th, with her formidable telekinetic and telepathic powers. Bastion, a powerful adversary, will make his entrance on March 27th, bringing a gripping new storyline to the game.

The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions will further expand with the addition of Eidols, continuing the Founders' narrative. The first Eidol, Isophyne, was introduced in December 2024. Throughout 2025, three more Eidols will be unveiled, each with a unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, will debut on March 5th and be available until June 4th. Lumatrix, crafted by The Founders, serves as a master infiltrator with the ability to spy, sabotage, and assassinate with precision. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix can manipulate light to perform dazzling feats while concealing its lethal nature.

This March, the powerful women of The Contest are celebrated. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can participate in Solo Objectives and Realm Events to decide which Champion will receive a rework in 2025.
