Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Game Modes

Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 5, boasting a range of new features and improvements. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, the remastered edition will include features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support, PS5 Pro enhancements, and a selection of exciting new gameplay modes.

Key additions include a thrilling permadeath mode, a challenging speedrun mode, and a significantly enhanced photo mode. Accessibility options have also been expanded. A standout addition is Horde Assault, a new arcade mode where players face off against even larger hordes of Freakers than in the original game.

The game will be available for purchase on April 25th, 2025. PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10. Watch the debut trailer below:

This release marks another step in Sony's initiative to bring enhanced versions of popular PS4 titles to PS5 players. Days Gone Remastered joins other upgraded titles such as The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

PC players aren't left out. While Days Gone is already available on PC, the $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and improved accessibility features to that platform.

A recent PlayStation.Blog post revealed further details. The PS5 version is optimized for the console, offering improved visuals selectable in either Performance or Quality modes. PS5 Pro players will experience further visual enhancements, along with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers via the DualSense controller.
