DC to Adapt All-Star Superman as Full-Cast Audiobook

All-Star Superman, widely acclaimed as one of the greatest Superman comics ever (and featured on IGN's Top 25 list), is set to captivate fans in a fresh new format. DC and Penguin Random House are collaborating to bring this iconic tale to life as a full-cast audiobook.

The adaptation, penned by Meghan Fitzmartin, draws from the original work by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. To mark this exciting release, Quitely has crafted a new cover illustration, which you can view below:

Set in an alternate universe, All-Star Superman follows the Man of Steel, Kal-El, as he confronts his imminent demise after venturing too close to the sun. The narrative unfolds with Superman revealing his secret identity to Lois Lane and embarking on a series of heroic feats reminiscent of the 12 Labors of Hercules. The story culminates in a final confrontation with his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.

Mark your calendars: the All-Star Superman audiobook is slated for release on June 24, 2025, just one month before James Gunn's Superman film premieres in theaters.

It's worth noting that All-Star Superman was previously adapted into an animated film in 2011.
