He assures fans that development is significantly further along than publicly perceived, although further specifics remain undisclosed. This news might disappoint some, yet it's a more positive outlook than previous predictions suggesting a 2027 release.

June saw the release of a new trailer, showcasing intense gun battles against zombies and post-apocalyptic vehicles reminiscent of the Mad Max series. The game is set years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending settlements against the undead.

State of Decay 3 is slated for release on PC and Xbox Series consoles, a significant wait considering the last installment launched in 2018.
