Deltarune Unveils Exclusive Switch 2 Features in Unique "Special Room"

Announced during the Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 on April 2, Deltarune’s Switch 2 version will include Chapters 3 and 4, along with exclusive features designed for the new console.

In a Fangamer newsletter, Deltarune creator Toby Fox revealed that the Switch 2 edition features a unique room utilizing the mouse functionality of the new Joy-Cons. Fox noted, "We created a compact SPECIAL ROOM that leverages MOUSE CONTROLS ON TWO CONTROLLERS SIMULTANEOUSLY, exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2!!"

For players on other platforms, this unique room will be accessible with an alternative control scheme. Additionally, save files from the Nintendo Switch demo of Deltarune Chapters 1 and 2 can be transferred to the new version.

Future Deltarune Chapters Offered Free

The Fangamer newsletter confirmed that Deltarune will be priced at $24.99, including Chapters 1 and 2, alongside the upcoming Chapters 3 and 4. Chapter 1 launched in 2018, followed by Chapter 2 in 2021, both free. While Chapters 3-5 were initially planned as paid content, Fox announced that future chapters will now be free updates.

This means a single purchase grants access to all future chapters at no additional cost. Fox shared, "My goal is to make you feel this game is an incredible value as we add more chapters."

The game’s soundtrack, featuring over 150 tracks for Chapters 3 and 4, will be available on Steam for $14.99, with future chapter songs added at no extra cost. Deltarune aims to deliver exceptional value with free future content and chapters.
