"Devil May Cry Anime Opener Features Limp Bizkit Hit"

Shortly after announcing the premiere date for the anime adaptation of Devil May Cry, Netflix unveiled the series' opening trailer. Set against the iconic backdrop of the nu-metal band Limp Bizkit's track "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic scenes featuring young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit. These scenes are filled with nods and references to the beloved video game series, thrilling fans with a glimpse of what's to come.

Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his ambitious vision for the future of the anime. The series is set in the late 90s to early 2000s, and Shankar believes the soundtrack perfectly captures the essence of that era. Alongside Limp Bizkit, viewers can expect to hear other iconic tracks from the time, complemented by a reimagined soundtrack from the games crafted by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

Shankar also hinted at future seasons that will showcase different visual styles and soundtracks to reflect the diversity found across the Devil May Cry games. This statement indirectly confirms that the anime series will extend beyond its initial season, promising a rich and varied narrative journey.

While specific plot details remain under wraps, the first season is expected to draw from the manga "Code 1: Dante" (Devil May Cry 3). It will follow young demon hunter Dante as he investigates a child's disappearance, leading him to confront his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda.

The first season will comprise 8 episodes and is scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2025, much to the anticipation of fans worldwide.
