First announced in 2018, the series, helmed by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir (renowned for The Legend of Korra and X-Men '97), will consist of eight episodes in its inaugural season.

Plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, but indications suggest the story will center around Dante, mirroring his portrayal in the first three Devil May Cry games, rather than his appearance in Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video game franchise, will lend his voice to Dante in the anime.

The latest entry in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5, launched in 2019, marking a triumphant return after a period of relative inactivity following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed as a top-tier action game, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our complete Devil May Cry 5 review here.
