Humans (Known In-Universe as Folk)

Humans, referred to as Folk in *Avowed*, are the most common race you'll encounter both in the game world and within the character creator. As part of the broader Kith category, which includes various sentient and civilized species, humans are central to the narrative and gameplay.

The character customization for humans in *Avowed* is designed to cater to a wide audience. You'll find numerous presets, along with detailed customization tools. These include a variety of facial presets, a skin tone slider, and diverse hair textures, ensuring players have the tools needed to craft a character that resonates with them.

Elves

Elves are another race available for selection in *Avowed*. They closely resemble humans but are distinguished by their unique facial structures and iconic long, pointed ears.

Godlikes

A third race option in *Avowed* is the Godlikes. Although all Envoys in the story are Godlike, players have the choice to display these distinctive features or not. Godlikes come with unique hair and facial features, ranging from subtle to surreal. At launch, *Avowed* offers 14 Godlike facial features and four Godlike hair options, which are accessible to all characters regardless of race or body type.
