Announced in June 2020, with periodic updates, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. However, developer Full Circle actively encourages further registrations as development continues.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it will be a free-to-play, live-service title aiming for an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
