Weapon and armor upgrades are performed at Workbenches (pictured above), located at Party Camps. These camps are established near Adra Waystones scattered throughout the world. Interact with a Waystone, select the option to create a camp, and its location will be marked on your map with a tent icon, enabling fast travel.

Understanding Avowed's Weapon and Armor Leveling System

In Avowed, weapon and armor power is determined by two factors: Quality and additional upgrade tiers.

Quality is represented by a numerical value, color rarity (and descriptive adjective), directly correlating to enemy levels in the Living Lands. Lower-quality gear proves ineffective against stronger enemies. Conversely, using appropriately leveled gear provides combat advantages. Here's the Quality breakdown:

• Common – Green, Level I
• Fine – Blue, Level II
• Exceptional – Purple, Level III
• Superb – Red, Level IV
• Legendary – Gold, Level V

Each Quality level allows for three additional upgrades (+0 to +3). While less impactful than increasing Quality, these incremental boosts are essential before advancing to the next Quality tier.
