Baldur's Gate 3 is brimming with hidden secrets, gradually unveiled by Larian Studios. Dataminers have consistently unearthed these secrets, including a previously discovered, particularly grim ending.

This malevolent conclusion, recently rediscovered during testing of the eighth major patch, allows the protagonist to violently remove and destroy the illithid parasite without suffering harm. A subsequent branching path presents two options: the hero departs with companions, or the hero leaves the companions behind.

The community anticipates the full implementation of this ending with the release of patch eight.
