Exclusive: Interview with Nintendo's Doug Bowser in San Francisco

Nintendo is set to enhance its retail presence with the grand opening of its San Francisco store today, May 15, located at 331 Powell Street in Union Square. This marks the second official Nintendo store in the United States, following the highly successful New York location. Originally known as the Nintendo World Store, the New York outlet underwent renovations and a rebranding to become Nintendo NY before its reopening in 2016.

IGN had the opportunity to visit the new San Francisco store to explore what Nintendo has in store for its fans. Additionally, we had the privilege of sitting down with Nintendo of America's President, Doug Bowser, to discuss the strategic decision behind opening their first West Coast store at this time.
