Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in Marvel Contest of Champions Update

April is shaping up to be a thrilling month for fans of *Marvel Contest of Champions* (MCOC), with a host of new content and champions set to shake up the game. One of the most exciting additions is the new champion, Spider-Woman, who will be available in the game starting April 17th.

The Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, whose real name is Jessica Drew, has an intriguing origin story. As a child, she suffered from an illness caused by uranium exposure near her home. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a serum derived from spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica not only overcame the adverse effects of the experiment but also developed spider-like powers, eventually becoming Spider-Woman. Players can look forward to adding this unique champion to their roster from April 17th onwards.

Before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another champion, Lumatrix, will debut on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as one of their most lethal assassins, Lumatrix uses his flashy light powers to infiltrate and eliminate targets with deadly efficiency.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," introduces new developments. Carina is seriously injured after clashing with Ouroborus forces, while Doctor Doom unexpectedly allies with the Fantastic Four. The spread of Chronoserpent corruption adds to the tension, and a new villain, Lotan, emerges to challenge players.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," will run from April 9th to May 7th. Black Widow investigates the mysterious Eidols and enlists the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest with "Dark Bounties." She has placed bounties on various Champions, challenging players to track them down and claim their rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, offering players the chance to use their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
