First look: Farming Simulator comes to VR

Get ready for an even more immersive farming experience! Giants Software has announced Farming Simulator VR, a virtual reality game bringing the agricultural world to life like never before.

This "brand new" farming experience promises unparalleled realism. Players will manage every aspect of farm life, from planting and harvesting crops with realistic machinery to tending greenhouses and maintaining their equipment. The goal? Build a thriving and prosperous farm.

The announcement has been met with enthusiastic responses from fans. Many see potential educational value in the VR experience, while others are already contemplating the (potentially hazardous) consequences of getting too close to a combine harvester!

Farming Simulator VR launches February 28th, exclusively for Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Quest Pro headsets.

What can virtual farmers expect? Giants Software promises a complete farming cycle, including planting, harvesting, packaging, and selling produce. Greenhouse cultivation of tomatoes, eggplants, strawberries, and more is also featured. The game will include officially licensed machinery from leading manufacturers such as Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and John Deere. Players will even be able to repair and maintain their machines in a dedicated workshop, adding another layer of authenticity. And for the ultimate in realism, expect pressure washing!
