Fast Travel Guide: Dynasty Warriors Origins

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 20,2025

In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players navigate a sizable yet initially limited world map. As you progress through the main story, more provinces unlock, expanding the area you can explore. This expansion, while exciting, can make navigation time-consuming, especially with new skirmishes and requests popping up across the map, often requiring backtracking. Fortunately, mastering fast travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins can significantly cut down on travel time, making it easier to tackle all the side content the game offers.

How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To fast travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, you'll need to use the Map screen to move between different Waymarks. First, you must unlock a Waymark by approaching it on the world map and holding the X button on PlayStation or the A button on Xbox. Once unlocked, the Waymark will appear on your map screen, allowing you to fast travel to it at your convenience.

To access the map when not in battle, you can interact directly with an unlocked Waymark on the world map or pause the game and use the shoulder buttons to navigate to the Map menu. PlayStation users can save time by pressing the Dual Sense touchpad while on the world map to bring up the map screen instantly.

On the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark will display nearby key locations or battles. If you're searching for a specific battle or location, press the Square button on PlayStation or the X button on Xbox to toggle information. Then, use the Triangle button on PlayStation or the Y button on Xbox to cycle through a list of available battles and locations. Selecting one will move the cursor to the nearest Waymark, making your fast travel decision easier and more efficient.
