Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This exciting new title is a session-based, multiplayer PvE game set within the universe of Control. Players will engage in replayable missions, dubbed Jobs, which offer diverse challenges, objectives, and environments. These missions are designed to foster teamwork and adaptability among players.

FBC: Firebreak will be available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Notably, it will be accessible on day one through PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). This marks Remedy's first venture into self-publishing.

In addition to the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. The Deluxe Edition includes exclusive cosmetics and premium voice packs such as "The Firestarter" and "The Pencil Pusher" Voice Packs, the Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves), Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin, and the Golden Firebreak Spray. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $10 / €10 / £7.

The Deluxe Edition also features the Classified Requisition: "Firestarter," which includes a collection of 36 unlockable cosmetic items, including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets.

According to Remedy, FBC: Firebreak introduces the Requisitions system, rewarding players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing the game. This system allows players to unlock weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; all items added to the game are permanently available. For those seeking additional customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items that can be purchased with real money but have no impact on gameplay.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support for FBC: Firebreak, with plans to release two new Jobs in 2025 and further updates in 2026. All post-launch playable content, including Jobs, will be free to all players. Cosmetics will be available for purchase but won't affect gameplay, and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins.

Amidst a busy lineup, Remedy is also working on Control 2 and a remake compilation of Max Payne and Max Payne 2. This demonstrates the studio's continued commitment to expanding its universe and revisiting beloved classics.
