Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, revealing a significant need for high-end hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements highlight the game's demanding visuals.

To achieve a smooth 60fps at 4K with high graphical settings, Square Enix strongly recommends a graphics card boasting 12-16GB of VRAM. The game leverages DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate, explaining the hefty requirements.

This PC port arrives almost a year after the PS5 release, which recently received a PS5 Pro enhancement patch. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any post-launch DLC, as Square Enix is focused on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

While some initial PC specs were shared previously, Square Enix has clarified that 12-16GB VRAM is crucial for 4K gameplay. Other minimum requirements include a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended CPU options include the Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, and the GPU requirements range from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (with caveats for 4K).
