FF7 Rebirth PC Specs Unveiled by Square Enix

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's PC Port Detailed: 4K, 120fps, and More

A new trailer showcases the impressive features coming to the PC version of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, launching January 23rd, 2025. Following its successful PS5 debut in February 2024, PC gamers will finally get their hands on this critically acclaimed title.

The PC port boasts a range of enhancements, including support for resolutions up to 4K and frame rates of up to 120fps. Square Enix promises "improved lighting" and "enhanced visuals," though specifics remain under wraps for now. Players can expect three adjustable graphical presets (Low, Medium, High) and the ability to control the number of on-screen NPCs, offering customization options for various hardware configurations.

Key PC Features:

  • High-Resolution Support: Up to 4K resolution.
  • High Frame Rate: Up to 120fps.
  • Visual Enhancements: Improved lighting and enhanced visuals.
  • Graphical Presets: Low, Medium, and High settings.
  • NPC Control: Adjustable number of on-screen NPCs.
  • Input Options: Mouse and keyboard, and PS5 DualSense controller support (with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers).
  • Nvidia DLSS: Support for Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling technology.

While the inclusion of Nvidia DLSS is a boon for Nvidia users, the absence of AMD FSR support might leave AMD users at a slight performance disadvantage.

The PC release comes nearly a year after the PS5 exclusive launch, fulfilling considerable player demand. The robust feature set promises a compelling PC experience, but the game's commercial success on this platform remains to be seen, following its initially moderate PS5 sales figures.
