Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated game, Eerie Worlds. This captivating follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything offers a monster-themed tactical collectible card game (CCG) experience focused on fun and learning.

The game features a visually diverse roster of monsters inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors. From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, Eerie Worlds boasts a global collection. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others populate this chilling menagerie, each card accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

Strategic depth is achieved through four distinct Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, allowing for diverse monster combinations and tactical gameplay. Players build their "Grimoire," a personal monster collection, by merging duplicate cards from the initial 160 basic cards, unlocking many more through strategic merging, with more to come soon.

Avid Games plans to release two additional Hordes in the coming months, ensuring long-term engagement and replayability. Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, engaging in nine intense 30-second turns filled with strategic mana management and synergy exploitation.
