A prominent Fortnite leaker has hinted that Mechagodzilla might debut alongside Godzilla, whose arrival is scheduled for January 17. This news comes amidst Chapter 6 Season 1 of Fortnite, which has introduced various updates, including significant changes to the battle royale's locker system and the user interface for quests, highlighted by the new Godzilla challenges.
Since the launch of Chapter 6 Season 1, Fortnite has continued its tradition of exciting collaborations. Over the years, the game has featured crossovers with titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Star Wars, DC Comics, and even had a festive partnership with Mariah Carey during the 14-day Winterfest event. The current battle pass boasts two major collaborations, featuring Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Godzilla.
In a recent Twitter post, renowned Fortnite leaker Hypex suggested that Mechagodzilla could soon appear in the game's Item Shop. The design for Mechagodzilla is expected to mirror the MonsterVerse iteration. Pricing is rumored to be around 1,800 V-Bucks for the standalone version, with the possibility of it being included in a more comprehensive bundle. While Mechagodzilla is expected to be a cosmetic option for players to purchase, Godzilla will take on a more dynamic role as a full boss within the game, complete with a medallion that players can claim during matches.
Leakers have also hinted at King Kong joining Fortnite alongside Godzilla and Mechagodzilla. However, it's uncertain whether King Kong will feature on the map during Chapter 6 Season 1. While fans are keen to see these iconic monsters clash within the game, Epic Games has not confirmed any such event. King Kong is expected to be available in the Item Shop for 1,500 V-Bucks and might be bundled with accessories or even Mechagodzilla.
The Fortnite community is buzzing with excitement over these iconic monster additions, yet many are also eagerly awaiting a rumored crossover with Demon Slayer. This potential collaboration would bring characters from the popular anime into the game, following previous successful partnerships with anime franchises such as Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, and My Hero Academia. With a plethora of new content on the horizon, Fortnite players are looking forward to what Epic Games has in store for the future.
