Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a fun new feature: the ability to use instruments from Fortnite Festival as pickaxes and back blings. Fortnite Festival itself is a significant mode, offering unique gameplay. Many players consider it a spiritual successor to Guitar Hero, featuring instrument-based rhythm gameplay with licensed music and cosmetic items available in the Item Shop. Epic Games recently added local co-op to Fortnite Festival, enhancing the multiplayer experience. Epic Games surprised players by allowing these Festival instruments into the main battle royale mode. Players can now equip microphones, guitars, and other instruments as both back blings and pickaxes—even using the same instrument for both simultaneously. Existing instruments previously only usable as back blings or pickaxes have also been updated for use within Fortnite Festival, expanding their functionality. The update also includes new Godzilla collaboration cosmetics. Fans can choose between pink and blue edit styles for the Godzilla outfit, and unlock additional accessories like a wrap, harvester, and glider through battle pass challenges.
