As Genshin Impact prepares for its highly anticipated update, Version 5.5 “Day of the Flame’s Return,” fans are buzzing with excitement. Set to launch on March 26th, this update brings significant changes to Natlan, including thrilling new content both narratively and mechanically. One of the most notable additions is the introduction of controller support for Android devices, finally allowing players to enjoy their favorite RPG on mobile with a more immersive experience.

Venturing further into the southwestern region of the game world, players will encounter a new tribe and explore the mysterious Great Volcano of Tollan. This area holds ancient secrets and a long-dormant sacred city, where magma flows beneath the surface. Players must unravel the enigma surrounding the “Flamelord’s Blessing” and the intriguing tale of the Little One. Along the way, they’ll meet the Collective of Plenty, a tribe that values physical prowess, turning strength challenges into a cherished tradition.

Two new playable characters join the lineup in Version 5.5: Varesa and Iansan. Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, possesses a unique ability to restore Phlogiston after food is consumed, making her a valuable asset outside of combat. Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of Natlan’s six heroes, combines offensive power with supportive capabilities. Her Warming Up effect enhances her healing abilities when a teammate triggers a Nightsoul Burst.

The first phase of Version 5.5’s Event Wishes introduces Varesa and Iansan alongside a rerun of Xianyun’s banner, followed by reruns for Xilonen and Venti. To preview these exciting additions, check out the official trailer linked below.

Returning fan-favorite activities include the Bloomflower Trials, featuring encounters with Mavuika, Ifa, and other Natlan allies aiding a sick Saurian. Additionally, the “Saurian Treasure Seeker” mini-game challenges players to guide baby Saurians through obstacles to collect treasures, offering the chance to invite Ororon for free.

A new boss, the Lava Dragon Statue, awaits in the volcanic fissures, providing an exhilarating challenge for adventurers. For those eager to dive into this update, the game is available on the Google Play Store.
