In *Fallout 76*, players now have the intriguing opportunity to experience life from the perspective of a Ghoul, thanks to a new questline called "Leap of Faith." This feature adds a fresh layer of gameplay, but it's crucial to weigh the pros and cons before deciding to take the plunge into Ghoulhood.
To embark on this unique journey, you need to be at least level 50 and accept the "Leap of Faith" questline. Once you do, you'll head to the Savage Divide to meet characters who will guide you through the transformation process. It's a straightforward journey, but the decision to become a Ghoul comes with significant implications.
Turning into a Ghoul unlocks new abilities like Feral and Glow, enhancing your gameplay experience. The Feral meter, which starts at 100% and decreases over time, can be replenished with Chems. Here's what the Feral meter offers:
The Glow ability increases your maximum health and allows you to heal from damage taken by engaging in activities typically considered harmful, such as consuming spoiled food or exploring irradiated areas.
Additionally, Ghouls gain access to exclusive Perk cards that complement the standard human Perk cards, offering significant gameplay advantages. As a Ghoul, you're also immune to diseases and don't need to worry about regular food intake.

However, becoming a Ghoul isn't without its challenges. Engaging in the "Leap of Faith" questline can strain your relationships with certain factions, potentially hindering your ability to complete quests. Moreover, your Charisma will take a hit, making social interactions less enjoyable.
Fortunately, *Fallout 76* offers a solution through Jaye Vo, a new NPC introduced in the "Leap of Faith" questline. Jaye Vo provides disguises that allow you to navigate the game world without unnecessary conflicts, helping you continue your missions smoothly.
Despite the drawbacks, the benefits of becoming a Ghoul in *Fallout 76* are compelling enough to consider. The new abilities and Perk cards significantly enhance your gameplay, making it an exciting opportunity. If you later decide to revert to your human form, you can do so via the Character screen, though you'll need to wait until the "Leap of Faith" questline is completed. Reverting back to a Ghoul afterward will cost 1,000 Atoms.
Armed with this knowledge, you're ready to venture into the Savage Divide and embrace your new Ghoul identity, ready to explore the game's world in a whole new way.
*Fallout 76 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.*
